Muscat Airport

Muscat international airport is the main airport in the Sultanate of Oman and located close to the heart of Muscat. This airport is also the hub of the only Omani airline called Oman Air. The airport is currently on a huge expansion project and phase 1 of the project is expected to be completed by 2014 in which it will allow Muscat airport to handle 12 million passengers annually. Currently there are not many shops in the duty free area, however, you can still enjoy having a nice coffee while surfing the internet via the airports free wifi service. Tourists planning to travel to Sultanate of Oman may require a visa to enter the country, please refer to this  page for any visa enquiries here. Also be aware that any porn or sexual materials are prohibited and will be seized by the airport customs.
